These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Elara Fine Jewels website and any purchases made through it or in person at our studio. By using our website or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About Elara Fine Jewels

2. Products & Descriptions
We take significant care to accurately represent our products. However, the appearance of stones and metals may vary depending on your screen's display settings and calibration. GIA and AGS grading reports are the authoritative description of each diamond's characteristics. If there is a discrepancy between a product description and the grading report, the grading report governs.
All weights, dimensions, and metal compositions are provided in good faith but may vary slightly from stated values. Handcrafted pieces in particular may exhibit minor variations that are characteristic of bespoke manufacture and are not considered defects.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors. Payment is accepted via major credit cards, wire transfer, and certified check. Financing arrangements are governed by a separate agreement with our financing partner.
Sales tax is applied where required by law. International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees, which are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
4. Custom & Bespoke Orders
Custom and bespoke commissions are subject to the following terms:
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to begin any custom commission.
- The remaining balance is due upon completion, before the piece is released or shipped.
- Custom pieces are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange unless the piece contains a material defect caused by our workmanship.
- Client-supplied stones are worked upon at the client's risk. We take all reasonable precautions and maintain insurance; however, we are not liable for pre-existing damage or inherent weaknesses in the stone.
- If you wish to cancel a custom commission after work has begun, the deposit is forfeited. We will discuss a resolution on a case-by-case basis.
5. Returns & Exchanges
Non-customized pieces may be returned within 30 days of purchase under the following conditions:
- The piece is in its original, unworn condition with no signs of wear or alteration.
- All original documentation, including the GIA report, is included.
- The piece is in its original packaging.
- A return authorization has been requested by emailing hello@elarajewels.com before shipment.
Approved returns are refunded to the original payment method within 5 business days of receipt. Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the buyer unless the piece was received damaged or incorrect.
6. Repairs & Services
Repair services are provided at our standard rates, quoted in writing before work begins. We are not responsible for any pre-existing damage or weakness in pieces brought to us for repair. We will note any such conditions in writing before proceeding. Turnaround times are estimates and may vary based on workload and complexity.
7. Shipping & Insurance
All shipped pieces are fully insured to their retail value and sent via secure courier. Shipping is complimentary within the continental United States. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or customs. Risk of loss transfers to you upon confirmed delivery. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us immediately and retain all packaging for the insurance claim.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including images, text, logos, and design — is the property of Elara Fine Jewels or its licensors and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our express written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elara Fine Jewels shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or services. Our total liability in any matter arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product or service in question.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of New York County, New York.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify clients of material changes by email where possible. Continued use of our website or services following any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
